Microneedling Cost Columbus, Ohio

How To Calculate Accurate Microneedling Treatment Pricing

The average cost for microneedling in Columbus, Ohio is $1,485 – $3,000. The total price will fall on the higher end if you wish to address other areas (like the chest), include an additional treatment booster and/or opt for platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance results (sometimes referred to as the Vampire Facial).

Note: This is a cumulative price range for all facets of microneedling, including initial consultation, pre-treatment skincare products, aftercare products and six total sessions — the recommended amount of visits for the greatest results. One-off treatments cost between $250 – $350.

It’s A 5k, Not A Sprint: Why Multiple Sessions Are Necessary For Microneedling

Simply put: One microneedling treatment doesn’t offer enough elastin and collagen production to see meaningful results. Results have to be built up over the course of multiple sessions.

Our providers urge patients to schedule a minimum of three microneedling sessions when starting out, with six to eight visits being the ideal range. Microneedling works by skillfully creating strategic micro-injuries in the skin which allow the body to regenerate rejuvenated skin that is firmer, plumper and clearer. Just as a single workout won’t give you a chiseled body, a single microneedling session will not give you dramatic results. Scars, specifically, are more stubborn and take additional time and effort to see a major difference.

Sessions should be spaced four to six weeks apart to strike that perfect balance between adequate healing time and increasing results, especially for patients looking to address scarring issues.

A Customized Skincare Regimen Should Always Be Considered — Both Before & After Treatments

We like to say that the efficacy of your treatment(s) begins months before your first visit and continues months after your final session with proper microneedling aftercare instructions. A major red flag should be waved if your potential provider doesn’t discuss a detailed skincare regimen with you that starts at least four weeks before that initial treatment and evolves as you heal to bolster long-term results.

Microneedling is designed to address many common skin concerns; working with a clean slate ensures you get the most out of this time. Strategies may include pre-treatment facials to optimize the surface, a mineral SPF to protect against sun damage and the use of medical-grade hyaluronic acid to improve healing.

Additional Treatments Can Be Combined To Enhance Microneedling Results

Morpheus8 Being Combined With Microneedling

Beyond the addition of PRP to a microneedling treatment, there are a variety of other non-surgical procedures that can be employed to improve and protect your results, including:

  • Morpheus8 — to tighten and lift skin
  • Facials — to remove dead skin and debris post-treatment
  • Halo Skin Resurfacing & Chemical Peels — both can be used to further address surface damage conditions, like wrinkles and fine lines
  • BBL Hero Laser Treatments — to tackle pigmentation concerns and freckles

What To Look For In A Microneedling Provider

Skill level is another reason why some practices charge more for this treatment. Microneedling is a highly specialized procedure that requires not only great precision but also a vast understanding of skin health in general. Experience level should be considered when making your final decision on your provider, along with skincare product knowledge and other related treatment specializations. Patients should also ask about follow-up appointments, maintenance treatments and who to contact should they experience an adverse reaction.
