Optimized Nutrition Plans: Make Your Food Work For You, Not Against You
After your results are processed, we schedule a 60-minute consultation to review specific food items and your corresponding immune responses to them. Your provider will deliver a treatment plan catered to your results and health goals, one that is primarily focused on nutrition planning, meal timing and discovering the best alternatives to the ingredients that are causing you trouble — but you still want to enjoy.
You will also continue to have access to our lead dietician for two weeks following your consultation, allowing you the opportunity to ask questions about your test, your plan and anything else about nutrition that could help improve your life.

Food sensitivities can develop from various factors, including genetics, environmental influences and lifestyle choices. Exposure to certain foods over time may lead to the development of sensitivities, as the immune system becomes sensitized and begins to react negatively to specific food components.
Additionally, factors such as stress, antibiotic use and intestinal permeability can contribute to the development of food sensitivities by disrupting the delicate balance of the gut microbiome and immune system.
-
The testing process is straightforward, allowing us to focus on addressing your questions and health concerns. First, we send you a kit to get a blood sample with a simple finger poke. You will then send your sample to the lab for testing immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies or other markers of immune response to specific food sensitivities.
You’ll then have a 60-minute consultation with our lead dietician to formulate a plan. She is also available for two weeks after your consultation to address your questions or concerns.
-
The gut plays a central role in the body’s immune system and overall health. Food sensitivities can disrupt the delicate balance of the gut microbiome, leading to inflammation, intestinal permeability (leaky gut) and dysregulation of the immune response. Addressing food sensitivities is crucial for restoring gut health and alleviating the associated symptoms.
-
Results are typically available within 2 weeks, depending on the testing protocol and laboratory processing times.
-
Yes, this is a valid test and lays the groundwork for the Elimination Diet, which we consider the gold standard for identifying food sensitivities. Our certified dietician will review the Elimination Diet plan in more detail during your consultation as an optional next step in your health journey.
-
Food sensitivities occur when the body’s immune system reacts adversely to certain foods, triggering a range of symptoms. Unlike food allergies, which involve an immediate and often severe reaction, food sensitivities can manifest as subtle symptoms over time, making them challenging to identify without specialized testing.
Take The Guesswork Out of Your Diet
Food sensitivity testing is used to personalize your Elimination Diet plan to find your triggers. The goal of an Elimination Diet is not to identify foods you can never eat again, but to identify triggers to keep them out of your diet while healing the gut!
This approach is most effective when combined with GI Map testing and when used during a 3-month plan with our lead dietitian, allowing for targeted GI treatment with the intention of reintroducing the foods after complete gut healing.
